SYDNEY Australian authorities have intercepted a 34 million dollar (U.S. $17 million) drug shipment from China containing a record 500,000 ecstasy tablets, police said Saturday. When they swooped late Friday, police also discovered the equivalent of 90,000 hits' of heroin, along with the ecstasy, concealed inside a shipment of tinned pineapples. The cargo was loaded in the Chinese port of Huangpu on March 28, a police spokesman told reporters as quoted by AFP.
